Graffiti is art. It is an outlet for the artist, the street is his canvas, and we, the people are his viewers. It has been around for centuries, art is opinion, so why should our opinions be suppressed if we are all entitled to it? The government does not approve of it and deems it illegal, but allow giant billboards to poison the minds of millions who pass them.  It’s funny how they rather project watered down ideas like fast food and cigarettes rather than something raw and cultured such as art. Just some thoughts of mine.
*I feel like our generation is much more open minded when it comes to seeing how the government puts prohibitions on the stupidest things. I hope when we’re the ones in charge, that things are going to change. This post isn’t about hate-crime graffiti, just to get things straight.
